ABC Boat Licence Venue - Windsor

While Windsor was once known as the wheat farming "Bread Basket", it's now a part of Sydney's suburbs due to sprawl over centuries, and a historic place to visit for your General Boat Licence Course or Boat & Jet Ski/PWC Licence Course.

It's only 30 minutes drive from Bella Vista, Dural, Kings Langley, and Kurrajong.

During the course you'll get to take in the views of nearby farms as you admire the twisting Hawkesbury River.

Though it's far inland, the River is still affected by the rise and fall of the tide, and you can take a boat from here all the way to the sea - though we definitely won't have time to do that in your course!

The rainfall running off the fertile land gets re-used by local Fish, Prawn and Oyster farmers to produce some of the best inland seafood in Australia.

We'll start your Australian Boating College Sydney course at the Windsor Boat Ramp, which is at the eastern end of Governor Phillip Park.

Address:

Windsor Boat Ramp,
Governor Phillip Park, George St,
Windsor, NSW 2756

Parking:

Parking your car at this venue is free.

The car park near the boat ramp has car parking spaces around the edges of the space.

Don't park in the diagonal large trailer spaces in the middle as you might get a fine from Hawkesbury City Council!

Meeting:

Once you've booked your course and have paid, we'll send out an email and a SMS text message with the start location and time.

For Windsor, we meet on the wharf beside the boat ramp, which is located on South Creek.

When our Australian Boating College boats pull alongside and our Instructors greet you in uniform, you know you're in the right spot!

Amenities:

Bathrooms are available at the street-facing side of the Upper Hawkesbury PowerBoat Club, a 5-minute level walk from the boat ramp.

There aren't any options to purchase food at this location.

When you've finished your practical experience, we move an 8 minute drive to our theory location.

Address:

Windsor RSL Club,
36 Argyle St,
South Windsor, NSW 2756
Windsor RSL Website

Parking:

Access to the outdoor car park is from Argyle St, with free parking and many spaces.

If the asphalt parking is full, there's overflow parking on the bare dirt.

Meeting:

We'll meet you inside the Windsor RSL, and your ABC Instructor will be waiting in the classroom.

Enquire at reception for directions to the classroom.

Amenities:

Being a Club means there are plenty of bathrooms.

There are three choices for food in the Club:

Café 36 serves cold and hot drinks, sandwiches and cakes.
Bistro 36 serves hot sit-down meals such as burgers, steaks, and pasta.
easy lane is a trendier beer garden that offers modern dining with an interesting menu sure to spark your curiosity, but hold off on the beer until you've finished your course!
