Our Taren Point location is our southern-most venue, and gives us the flexibility to head up the Georges River or head out onto historic Botany Bay for your General Boat Licence Course or Boat & Jet Ski/PWC Licence Course.
It's 10 minutes drive from Caringbah, Gymea, and Sans Souci, or 15 minutes from Cronulla, Hurstville, and Sutherland.
You'll see the affluent homes around Sylvania Waters that are built on drained and reclaimed swampland, offering water frontages and private jetties.
Though we won't be able to get there during the course, nearby Cronulla Beach is a popular summer spot, and the Sydney International/Domestic Airport sends up to 80 aircraft into the skies each hour as we drive on the waters below.
We'll start your Australian Boating College Sydney course at the Hawkesbury Reserve Boat Ramp, which is tucked in the back of Sylvania Waters along Hawkesbury Esplanade.
Hawkesbury Reserve Boat Ramp,
1R Moruya Ave,
Sylvania Waters, NSW 2224
Parking your car at this venue is free.
The car park inside Hawkesbury Reserve is entirely for cars with trailers.
Don't park in the trailer spaces as you might get a fine from Sutherland Shire Council!
Car parking is available along Hawkesbury Esplanade.
Once you've booked your course and have paid, we'll send out an email and a SMS text message with the start location and time.
For Taren Point, we meet on the wharf beside the boat ramp.
You might see our ABC Instructors launching our colourful vessels while you wait.
Public bathrooms are at the back of the trailer car park, in a brown cinderblock building with grey tin roof, barely a minute's walk from the boat ramp.
There aren't any food or drink options at this location.
Our theory location is a 2 minute drive or 8 minute walk from the boat ramp.
Taren Point Bowling Club,

Your Australian Boating College Instructor will be waiting in the classroom.
There are plenty of bathrooms available at this location.
For food inside the venue, there's The Point Bistro that offers burgers, pizza, pasta, and Asian dishes.
If you'd rather a lighter option we recommend Lucy's Espresso Bar across the road for cafe-style sandwiches.
You can't take outside food into the Taren Point Bowling Club, so make sure you've finished it before entering.
Australian Boating College Sydney cannot provide transport between practical and theory venues for students under 18.
You must organise this transfer prior to course attendance.
A Parent or Legal Guardian is required to be present with a student under 18 in some parts of this course venue.
Students under 18 are able to attend the practical boating experience without a Parent or Legal Guardian present onboard.
As per RMS guidelines we require a Parent or Legal Guardian to sign consent for a student aged 12-16 to attend our course.
This involves sighting ID for Parent/Legal Guardian and also ID for the student.
