Our West Ryde venue is located in the Inner West of Sydney, and is a convenient drive for those living along the Parramatta River.
It's only 15 minutes drive from Epping, Macquarie Park, and Parramatta, or 25 minutes from Five Dock, Pennant Hills, and Strathfield.
You'll see the verdant green Golf Course and the sparkling Parramatta river during your General Boat Licence Course, or Boat & Jet Ski/PWC Licence Course.
If you book for any course during the week (Monday-Friday), we'll start at the Practical location at the Ermington Boat Ramp.
If you book a West Ryde course on Saturday or Sunday, we'll start the day at our Theory Location at the Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club.

You'll see us launch our boat down the Ermington Boat Ramp, and bring it around to the meeting point.
Nestled in the mangroves is the gangway that takes you to the pontoon that we use to get you on board.
There's lots to see on the Parramatta River, including three different transport types - Ferry, Rail, and Road.
Pedestrians stroll along the sandstone-lined shores as we perform the different manoeuvres that we do as part of the Practical Boating Experience.
It's a perfect location to do your course!
If you've booked for a mid-week course, your Australian Boating College Sydney course starts at the Ermington Boat Ramp, which is located down Wharf Road against the Parramatta River.

Parking your car at this venue is free.
The car park may be busy during the summer months of the year, but there is overflow parking along Wharf Road.
Don't park in the trailer spaces as you might get a fine from the City of Parramatta Council!
Once you've booked your course and have paid, we'll send out an email and a SMS text message with the start location and time.
For Ermington, walk down the gangway past the mangroves, and wait on the wharf beside the boat ramp.
Our ABC Instructors will launch our brightly-coloured and branded boats and swing around for a pickup.
Public bathrooms are provided at Ermington, and are located in a sandy brick building in direct sight of the boat ramp.
Food is not available to purchase at this location.

There's plenty of parking at the Golf Club, accessed off Victoria Road or Cobham Lane.
If you've booked for a weekend course, we'll meet you in the courtyard in front of the Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club.
If you're moving here after completing your practical, enquire at Reception for directions to the classroom.
Being a Club means there are plenty of bathrooms.
There's also the 11FIFTYSIX Bistro where you can purchase food and drinks.
Australian Boating College Sydney cannot provide transport between practical and theory venues for students under 18.
You must organise this transfer prior to course attendance.
A Parent or Legal Guardian is required to be present with a student under 18 in some parts of this course venue.
Students under 18 are able to attend the practical boating experience without a Parent or Legal Guardian present onboard.
As per RMS guidelines we require a Parent or Legal Guardian to sign consent for a student aged 12-16 to attend our course.
This involves sighting ID for Parent/Legal Guardian and also ID for the student.
